Sugar
Sugar is the sweetest animal we've ever known, and she is known throughout our neighborhood as being playful and gentle with kids. We surprised the kids with a puppy when they were younger, and they have grown up loving this adorable creature.
A few months ago, Sugar was diagnosed with Lymphoma, and she has been under the care of the fabulous team at BARC in Edmonds, WA. She is mid-way through her treatment now, and is showing great improvements. Her platelets are still low and her white cell count is still in the caution zone, but her energy is back. Her mission in life is simple: To keep the world safe from squirrels and bunnies or anything small that moves. But mostly, she's the "white shadow," always interested in hanging out with each of us, especially if we have a few nibbles of dinner we can share with her. 🙂
The kids know that our furry friend won't last forever, but we sure do love Sugar, we are so thankful for the extra time we have with her. We are thankful for Toby's Hope and anyone who generously supports this non-profit. The costs for these treatments can add up very quickly, and if you are like us, this wasn't a planned expense. Thank you to the team at Toby's Hope for walking with us on this journey.
